These sweet gum balls were harvested from seven mature trees growing on our property, which grow naturally and are not fertilized or sprayed with insecticides. We usually keep these sweet gum balls for our own craft projects, but there was a bountiful harvest this year and enough inventory to offer on our store!
To avoid water rot and physical damage to the delicate spikes, we harvest within days after dropping from the trees. Each sweet gum ball is hand-selected with an average size of 1-1.5" and mostly with stem attached. They are dried and ready to use immediately for your craft project.
