Turkey Swamp Decoy J
oan Koposovic Swan Decoy, Signed.
Found at an estate sale of a collector of decoy birds.
This
Turkey Swamp Decoy is signed by Joan Koposovic with his mark on the bottom.
It measures approximately 6 1/2" tall to top of head by about 5" wide by and 15-1/2" long from tail to beak.
It is in very good condition and only used as a display.
Overall the paint is in great condition with no chipping.
There is some small wood nicks on the beak, but appears to be original to the wood.
Joan Koposovic has been carving & painting waterfowl since the late 1970s, but started a business entitled Turkey Swamp Decoys in 1989 with her husband Mike.  The business is named for the adjacent Turkey Swamp Wildlife Management Area near their home in Jackson, N.J., & they run it full time & show their lamps & decoys at craft & wildlife shows all along the East Coast.  Joan specializes in hand-carving and painting beautiful mallards, wood ducks, mergansers, loons, buffleheads, pintails, Canada Geese, & more.  She studied at the Rhode Island School of design where she majored in painting.

I'm selling mostly used items purchased at Estate Sales.

If it looks like a stain, nick, or fading in the photographs then it probably is, but I believe the condition of these items is part of their charm.

Shipping is offered within the continental USA. Preferred shipping carriers include USPS, UPS and FedEx.

Return Policy:
Returns are accepted if notified promptly after receipt of the item and the item is not being sold as is. The item must be returned in its original condition within 30 days (i.e., unopened, tags attached, etc.).
